The Blog Planner You Never Knew You Needed

The Blog Planner You Never Knew You Needed

There are blog planners all over the internet at the moment. They’re the new way to stay organised and on top of your latest posts. If you’re anything like me, you’ll find it a lot easier to stay organised when you write everything down in one place. There’s nothing I love more than ticking things off my to-do list.

Among the hundreds blogging groups out there, several have produced their own blog planners. These can be free or paid for, and are usually in the form of printable documents. One of these communities, The Bloggers Crowd, have recently launched their own blog planner. They graciously sent it my way so I could try it out for myself.

The pack as a whole contains two full page printable designs, a day planner, blog post planner, and monthly overviews. Immediately, I loved the fact that it helps you keep on track with everyday life as well as blog work. I know that the best of us struggle with the blog/life balance, so this could be the answer to many of our problems! The planner is in a PDF format and you can print it off page by page – which means you can create as many copies of one page as you want! I’m thinking of putting my printed pages into a ring bound folder to keep them neat.

So what does it look like?

Monthly Planner

Like I said previously, the planner ties in the blogging world with your personal life. This is most prominent in the daily planners but also the monthly overviews. It allows room for writing down important details such as the events you’re going to, upcoming birthdays and also the goals you want to achieve. I’m always pushing to better myself, so I really love these features. I think it also helps you become a little bit more productive too, as you can see exactly how much you’ve done and how long it took to do.

My passion for organisation has slipped through my fingers recently.

Over the past couple of months, I’ve let things get away from me. Admittedly, I don’t have an excuse. An off day turned into a week, which then progressed into months. Using this planner, I’m going to challenge myself to get back into my old routine. If it goes well, I’ll write a blog post all about it with tips & tricks I find particularly useful on the way. It’s definitely been a long time coming!

I should point out that this is the first draft of the planner and it’s still in the early stages of design. The copy I was sent is to be thought of almost as a prototype before the final changes are made. I filled out a couple of the pages to give it a try and I love how easy it makes planning blog posts! Everything I need to remember can be jotted down in one place. I always forget what products I need to photograph too, so I’m so happy there’s a space for that! My forgetful nature can mean I take the same set of photos two or three times over. Writing out a list like this can allow you to get everything ready before you make a start.

There are so many great features in the planner it’s hard to pin-point my favourite page!

With this planner, all the details have been thought about. From the list options to the small corresponding pictures on each monthly planner. For example, September’s picture is a pencil and October’s is a pumpkin. It all ties together! I’d have to say though, that the Coffee print pictured below is definitely my favourite page. I love a good print, and not only is this one aesthetically pleasing it’s also funny. So what’s not to love? Plus, it totally goes hand in hand with the name of this blog, which totally isn’t biased at all (it might be).

Personally, I know I’ll find the daily planner the most useful. I’m such a forgetful person that my to-do list is never ending. I’m hoping this will be the game-changer I need! I filled out a few of the boxes to give you an example of how I’d fill it out for daily use. What I like about this in comparison to a ready made notebook-style blog planner is that I can print out a specific page whenever I need it. Say for example, if I ran out of “what am I doing today?” sheets – I can simply print off a few more copies. This is so much more efficient than having to wait to buy a whole new planner.

Having everything you need in one place is so efficient.

When the final blog planners are released, they’ll be sold by the Blogger Crowd. I don’t have a link as of yet, but when I do I’ll update this post and pop it in here at the end. As I loved the free sample planner so much, I might find myself buying the completed one for myself. This means there may also be a potential giveaway on the cards as it’ll be one full year since Black Coffee Breakfast began in November! So watch this space if that’s of any interest to you.
